The Nerf Offseason:
Obviously this doesn't apply to all of you, but out here in PA, winter is offseason. This article will go into a few simple ways to make the winter more bearable outside of having a freezing cold outdoor battle or a sometimes impractical indoor battle. Far too many times have I seen people lose all intrest in nerf over the cold months.
First things first. Keep the mods coming. There is no reason just because its the offseason to quit modding. Keep your mods moving to stay in the groove and also to have some new guns to unveil when nerf starts up again.
Hell, do what I did. Make a nerf site. Its a great way to stay busy in nerf. Make sure you post about mods and such. This keeps your intrest in nerf and actually makes you want to do even more.
Stick this up your ass. Make a clan, build intrest for the warmer months. Get enough people together so that when you do begin nerf you can actually have a war. This is especially important. Nobody wants nice weather and plenty of modded guns with no one to shoot at.
Keep the last second battle option open. Inform people that if there is a day where you don't have to wear heavy clothes they will be getting a call. Always have the option to nerf open to yourself.
