NOTE: This is a continuation mod from Yakman's Ratchetblast Mod.
Well, I just want to say that Yakman has an excellent mod site and I would reccomend it to anyone. Anyhow, after doing the mod on Yakman's site, (Note: Make sure you have the hole on the end of the plunger shaft large enough that the 1/2 in. PVC will actually fit into it. You want the PVC to be about a centimeter or 2 into the shaft. I have tried both setting it on top and actually putting it into the shaft and this gets more range. MAKE SURE YOU USE A STRONG GLUE SUCH AS EPOXY OR PLUMBERS GOOP AND DUCT/ELECTRIC TAPE!!!!) you will realize that while this gun gets around 35-40 feet pretty easily, it needs more range and accuracy to actually be usable. This is when I tried my PETG rifle mod (9/16 brass will do as well) and now it not only gets around 60 feet single shot, but also gets around 40 feet with up to 4 stefans, making it a great shotgun. Basically all you need to do is put enough electric tape on the 8 in. PETG barrel, stick it down the 1/2 in. PVC barrel, glue and tape the seal, and voila! You got it. I also added some 1 in. insulation around it with duct tape for support. My barrel is bent downward a little bit so I can just imagine that without that this gun will get around 65-70 ft. My Ratchetblast has gone from a unused gun that didn't have much of a future to an excellent gun. Hell, the scope even works, lol.
